I bought the equipment for Moghamra approximately 1825 days ago.

Fun fact: The podcast equipment for Moghamra was purchased in 2018. It's safe to say that buying the equipment for the podcast has been the easiest part of the journey so far.

Now, onto (some of) the challenges of building Moghamra:

  • Finding the courage to press the record button

  • Solving the chicken and egg problem:

    • To get a lot of listeners, you need good speakers

    • To get good speakers, you need a lot of listeners

  • Monetizing Moghamra

  • Becoming a good host

  • Overcoming the fear of being on camera and the associated anxiety

Objectively speaking, in terms of hard numbers, the most challenging aspect has been finding the courage to press the record button. It took 5 years. That’s roughly 1825 days. It’s been 83 days since we published the first episode. Time will tell if any of the challenges mentioned above will surpass the 1825 days mark. If I had to bet my money, none of those challenges will take more than 5 years.

In other words, if we were to extrapolate my experience to others, the biggest challenge of starting a new venture is, well, actually starting. Until next time.
